His Name is Eric
These selected readings from Phillipa Leseberg's book "His Name is Eric" describe her late husband's battle with cancer and the couple's experience with alternative treatments.
The original idea for my initial daily journaling was to document how we saved my husband's life after transitioning from conventional to alternative treatments. We didn't have the outcome for Eric that we had hoped and visualized, but the journals became the basis from which the book was written. It follows the journey of the two of us meeting to Eric's final breath eight years later.

About the Artist
Phillipa Leseberg is a Kiwi-American adventurer, dolphin & whale swimmer, advocate for juicing and organic food, and debut author. As her husband battled cancer, she began to journal daily, a practice that was both cathartic and purposeful. The words she penned during those moments of vulnerability became the foundation of her book, His Name is Eric. Phillipa shares her deeply personal story, inspiring readers to seek, question, and advocate for their own health. Based in Seattle, she lives a life filled with travel and adventure, frequently visiting her daughter and beloved pup in Hawai’i.
Phillipa’s mission is simple: to bring awareness to what she calls “advanced” methods of healing and to encourage others to take ownership of their health decisions. Phillipa and Eric’s story isn’t just about loss, it’s about resilience, advocacy, and the life-changing power of asking “why” when faced with the difficult choices.
