Talk About It PSA

This is a PSA created for 1736 Family Crisis Center in LA County, a non-profit organization helping survivors of domestic violence, runaway and homeless youth, victims of human trafficking, homeless families, and homeless and at-risk Veterans.

Our corner of the world is broken. The people know. Survivors know. Perpetrators know and they are getting away with it nine times out of ten. If we don’t talk about the violence we and others have experienced, and our sacred right to live in peace and safety, the violence will continue unabated. With the recent events of broken promises, relaxed laws, and protections for the perpetrators instead of survivors, we all need to raise our voices to share that justice is not just valid, but essential, and our legal right for a healthy, thriving future. We must demand righteous representation. So, please: Talk About It.

About the Artist

⭐ Jane Sibbett is an American actress, writer, director, photographer, producer, advocate, and prayer dancer. Among her 200+ TV episodes and many film roles, she is best known as Ross’ lesbian ex-wife, Carol, on NBC’s sitcom Friends, Clarice in It Takes Two, and Heddy Newman in Herman’s Head, among other film and TV productions.

After directing and performing in Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monologues at the Kahilu Theatre in Hawai’i to standing-room-only audiences for two seasons, in response to the great success and need for art giving voice to women, Jane directed Talk About It for the 1736 Family Crisis Center in Los Angeles. 1736 Family Crisis Center is a non-profit helping at-risk women and children, trafficked people, the homeless, runaways, and Veterans. Jane is also a survivor of kidnapping and rape, and her assailant, like many others, still walks free.

Jane continues to collaborate on art as co-founder of the Noon Miracle creative platform with her daughters, Violet and Ruby Fink, helping artists and survivors of all kinds connect with the Muse and share powerful stories in a safe space of communal support.

While relatively new, Jane’s Dancing Hands is a decade-long part of her life that flows through all she embraces for health, healing, and on the best of days, a whole lot of joy.
