Even at its sun-soaked and languorous end, July seems as though it’s only just begun. And yet, as we emerge into August, there is a great deal on the horizon to keep our minds busy and our hearts happy!
The first exciting thing on our August docket is the start of Richard Dubin’s Breaking Up with Your/Self! This offering draws on Richard's Acting Human philosophy to help you see, with keen awareness, that we create ourselves anew in every living moment. Over four weeks, live and recorded together, you'll work through what Richard calls a methodology for the soul. It’s not a set of fixes, but rather a shift in how you experience your own life as it's happening. This is not just for actors, writers, or artists. This is for all humans who love being fully alive.
We have pushed the start date by a week to the 8th of August to better accommodate interest, and we will be offering a free taster session for the curious. For more information or to sign up now, follow the link here or click the button just above.
Next up is Structure Lab: Outline with Levi Alexander...Take 2! After his fully booked first offering, he will be leading a new cohort through the fundamental structures of story and personally advising each student as they sculpt their idea into a complete outline for a feature film.
“Levi breaks down structure in a way that actually sticks, and his passion is so infectious you can’t help but catch it. You won’t just be taking a class, you’ll be joining a community that genuinely cares about your story.”

If you haven’t signed up yet, don’t wait! Class begins on August 9th, and there are only four spaces remaining. Follow the link here to learn more.
And, two days later, Amy Ferris returns with another two week workshop miniseries for women all about reclaiming our power. Amy holds the space for everything that demands to be expressed - tenderness, rage, fear, or hope - they are all a part of the process that she supports. It’s not just about writing, it’s about giving a real, powerful voice to the mighty fierce woman inside. Ready to dig deep? Follow the link here for more info on how to join us.
On the 16th of August, the whole cohort from the first Structure Lab: Outline will be tackling a new challenge - turning their outlines into pages. Coffee deliveries and good thoughts will be gratefully accepted by the writers as they begin Structure Lab: First Draft. This class is now full, but keep an eye out for updates about the next one!
Last but not least, the wonderful B. K. Jackson will be re-entering the Noon Miracle classroom as a solo teacher! Her new course, Writing the Stories We’re Afraid to Tell, begins on September 3rd, helping each of us dive into the craft of creation. We all know which stories scare us - the ones with too much truth, that live a little too close to home. But these are the ones that are most important to share. They are the ones that speak to the people going through the same thing. They remind us all that we are not alone, if you can be brave enough to share that bit of truth. Join us next month to write it out.
Just a final note...for the past month, we have been accepting script submissions to be featured in our upcoming Autumn and Winter Table Reads seasons. We have had some really wonderful work sent our way, and we’re very excited to start building our new season. A big thank you to all those who submitted!
If you missed the deadline, but you have a piece that you wish you’d sent in, we have good news. We’re extending the deadline for one more night. Just send it in to us before midnight tomorrow, and we’ll consider it for the upcoming Autumn and Winter Table Reads Series.
We are looking for stories that uplift, inspire, and deliver a clear message of hope for humanity. We are looking for stories that remind us of the joy of real connection.
We are looking for stories to bring to life.
Wishing you an art-full August,
❤ The Noon Miracle Team
